1. Cancellation, Late and No Show Policies 

Cancellation Policy

  • Clients should ideally provide a notice period of 48 hours or more prior to the agreed appointment time
  • If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the agreed appointment time then 50% of the total cost will be charged to the client, if this occurs then UK Dietetics will refund the remaining 50% of the consultation within 2-3 business days
  • All appointment cancellations should be sent to ukdietetics@outlook.com
  • You accept that UK Dietetics will not be responsible for any liability for costs or losses suffered as a result of your failure to cancel in line with the above Cancellation Policy

Late and No Show Policy

If the client is less than 15 minutes late to the agreed appointment time then we will still aim to carry out the full consultation. However, if the client is later than 15 minutes to the agreed appointment time then the cancellation policy will apply and the appointment will be cancelled. If the client does not show for appointment the then Cancellation Policy will apply.

These conditions apply to all methods of consultation; telephone, video call and face to face consultations. 

2. Fees

  • Fees will be arranged prior to booking appointments
  • Fees are to be paid in full prior to the agreed appointment time (ideally as soon as the appointment has been agreed)
  • If the appointment fees have not been received by the time of the appointment then the Cancellation Policy will apply

3. Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how UK Dietetics will collect, use and protect any personal data that you provide. UK Dietetics is committed to ensuring that all personal data and records are processed lawfully, fairly and with transparency. Personal data required shall be adequate, relevant, limited to what is necessary and shall not be kept for longer than required.

  • Your personal information such as name, date of birth, address, contact details and GP
  • Your clinical information relating to your clinical care e.g. medical history and medications

Purpose of Data Collection

  • To enable us to successfully carry out our nutrition and dietetics services to you
  • To contact you with regards to your clinical care
  • For professional record keeping of client information. 

What Happens To Your Information

  • Our website is hosted by IONOS. However, no data is stored on our website
  • All records are kept and stored securely on our laptop
  • Our laptops are password protected
  • Our documents are password protected
  • We use an electronic GDPR compliant system for storing electronic records
  • Data will be stored for 8 years in line with section 2 of the Records Management Code of Practice for Health and Social Care 2021 in England and Wales

Controlling Your Personal Information

  • We do not distribute, sell or lease any of your personal data to third parties unless we have your explicit consent or are required by law to do so
  • You may request details of personal information which are held under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please email ukdietetics@outlook.com if you would like a copy
  • If you do not wish for us to use your personal information in the ways stated above then you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, your clinical details will be stored for 8 years in line with clinical guidelines
  • If you believe that we are holding any information about you that is incorrect then please contact us at ukdietetics@outlook.com and we will aim to make corrections promptly
  • Should you have any queries relating to your data then please contact us at ukdietetics@outlook.com

4. Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file that enables a website to function efficiently and to provide information to the website owner. They are created when a user's browser loads a particular website  and are stored on your web browser.  You are able to block or delete cookies by activating the setting on your browser that enables you to delete, block some or block all cookies. However, if you do so then you may not be able to access certain features of the website.

This website uses third-party website tracking technologies to provide and continually improve our services, and to display advertisements according to users’ interests - you are able to accept or decline these cookies on this website and will have been prompted upon arrival.

UK Dietetics is run by William Wilton; a registered dietitian and sports and exercise nutritionist. William Wilton is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and is on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr).  William Wilton aims to use his knowledge, skills and clinical expertise in an accurate, ethical and professional manner in line with HCPC and BDA standards.

The advice and information provided by UK Dietetics is solely educational and clients should be aware that results are not guaranteed as results may vary from person to person.
